When the extension cable is connected between the normal plug-in and the control monitor, it can be conveniently relocated next to a flowmeter or other test equipment.
The new 9U-6386 Extension Cable Assembly is adaptable to the 7Y-5500 Control Monitor Group for the listed models. To use the 7Y-5500 Control Monitor Group outside the cab, unplug the connectors and remove four mounting screws that retain the monitor. Connect the 9U-6386 Extension Cable Assembly between the connector and the monitor. The new cable allows the monitor to be used up to 6.1 meters (20 ft) from its original position.
