Schematic of neutralizerThis diagnostic code is recorded if the high pressure switch is closed and the low pressure switch is open for more than 150 ms.Test Step 1. CHECK THE CIRCUIT FOR PROPER OPERATION
Turn the transmission neutralizer override switch to the ON position.
Disconnect the machine harness from the ECM.
At the harness connector, measure the resistance from frame ground to the inputs of the pressure switches (contact 4 and contact 14) while the brake pedal is NOT depressed.
At the harness connector, measure the resistance from frame ground to the inputs of the pressure switches (contact 4 and contact 14) while the brake pedal is depressed.Expected Result:The measured resistance should be greater than 5,000 ohms while the brake pedal is NOT depressed. The measured resistance should be less than 5 ohms while the brake pedal is depressed. Results:
OK - The measured resistance is greater than 5,000 ohms while the brake pedal is NOT depressed. The measured resistance is less than 5 ohms while the brake pedal is depressed. The switches are correct. The machine harness is correct. Proceed to test step 3.
NOT OK - The measured resistance is NOT greater than 5,000 ohms while the brake pedal is NOT depressed. The measured resistance is NOT less than 5 ohms while the brake pedal is depressed. The switches are NOT correct or the machine harness is NOT correct. Proceed to test step 2.Test Step 2. CHECK THE SWITCHES
At each switch, measure the resistance from frame ground to the inputs of the high pressure switch and the low pressure switch while the brake pedal is NOT depressed.

The measured resistance at each switch is less than 5 ohms while the brake pedal is depressed. The switches are correct. The machine harness is not correct.Repair: Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness. Stop.
NOT OK - The measured resistance at each switch is NOT greater than 5,000 ohms while the brake pedal is NOT depressed. The measured resistance at each switch is NOT less than 5 ohms while the brake pedal is depressed. The switches are NOT correct.Repair: Replace the switches that are faulty. Stop.Test Step 3. VERIFY THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE IS PRESENT.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Inspect the connectors and inspect the contacts.
Connect the machine harness to the control module.
Install the relay.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Enter the service mode.
Operate the machine.
Check the diagnostic indicator. Note the active diagnostic codes.Expected Result:The diagnostic code is active. Results:
YES - The diagnostic code is active.
