Section B-B (10) Before you apply the 1U-8846 Gasket Sealant to the case, clean any grease and oil from the case. Apply a continuous bead of sealant 3 mm (0.1 inch) in diameter on the flange of the case. Apply the bead 6 mm (0.2 inch) from the inside edge of the case. Spread the sealant with a roller. When you spread the sealant, the width of the sealant must be a minimum of 13 mm (0.5 inch). Wipe any excess sealant from the inside surface of the case.

(19) Install the lip type seal with the hub. (20) Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the outside diameter of the lip type seal. Lightly lubricate the sealing lip of the lip type seal with the lubricant that is being sealed. (21) Lightly lubricate the bore of the O-ring seal with the lubricant that is being sealed. (22) As required, use the 6Y-9016 Shim Pack to obtain a bearing end play of 0.05
