(8) Engine hoursWhen a fault occurs in the control system, a diagnostic window will appear. The diagnostic window alerts the operator that a problem exists. The message at the top of the diagnostic window (2) instructs the vessel operator how to respond to the fault. As shown in Illustration 1, for example, "Shutdown Safely" (2) is displayed. The "Suspect Parameter Number" (SPN) (1) and the "Failure Mode Identifier" (FMI) (3) are listed for the currently active fault.The SPN and FMI error codes indicate the type of failure and will be used by the dealer technician to locate and resolve the fault. The field in the middle of the window is used to provide a more detailed explanation (5) of the fault. The number (4) in parentheses indicates the level of severity of the fault. The window also provides the engine hours (8) at which the fault occurred, the number of occurrences 6 . Also displayed is the source address (SA) (7) of the fault. By pressing the "Acknowledge" button, the diagnostics window will disappear.Diagnostics CMD5
When a fault occurs in the control system, a diagnostic indication will appear. The diagnostic indication alerts the operator that a problem exists. The SPN/FMI codes indicate the type of failure and will be used the dealer technician to locate and resolve the fault. The number in parentheses indicates the severity level of the fault. By acknowledging the diagnostic by pressing the Acknowledge button, the fault will disappear.Details of the diagnostics will be logged and stored as either 'Active' or 'Logged' and information will be stored including the following:

Press and hold the "Acknowledge" button for 2 seconds to access information on all current and past (logged) diagnostics . The screen shown in Illustration 1 will appear.Diagnostics Details

The diagnostics details screen shows active faults in the left side of the screen. The information includes the following:

SPN
FMI
Description of each faultThe color of the rectangle indicates the severity of the fault.
Green indicates low severity.
Yellow indicates mid severity.
Red indicates high severity.Tap one of the faults to display the details of the fault. The details are displayed on the right side of the screen in the "Details" field, as shown in Illustration 3.Logged Diagnostics

Logged diagnostics
Refer to Illustration 4. To display logged (past) faults, tap the "Logged" soft button that is highlighted in blue.If all logged diagnostics cannot be displayed on the left side of the screen, a scroll bar (15) will appear. By dragging the scroll bar up or down, all logged diagnostics can be displayed.
