When the machine serial number is entered to retrieve the latest VIMS software from SIS WEB, it is possible for the VIMS flash file (.fls) may not be the latest. In this scenario the listed configuration file may not be compatible with the flash file listed inSIS WEB to latest VIMS3G Flash Files.Solution

To obtain the latest software in SIS Web, click the link "VIMS Software & Current Releases" in the "Flash Software Download" section in SIS Web. Refer to Illustration 1.

The "MINING.CAT.COM" web page will appear where in the upper right-hand corner next to the "VIMS Software & Media" chart, will be a list of related links. Refer to Illustration 1. Click on the "VIMS 3G Production Software Compatibility Matrix" link to retrieve the latest production software and configuration file available for the machine type. Read through the notes to find which VIMS ECM is installed on machine and to find the correct software and configuration file for that ECM.In order to download the latest software from SIS Web, enter the individual software part number in SIS Web instead of the machines serial number.
