Position link assembly (15) onto the trunnion on the radiator guard of the tractor with a suitable lifting device.
Install cap (14) with shims (18), bolts (16), and nuts (17). Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 700 90 N m (516 66 lb ft). Refer to the topic “ Procedure for Shimming” in this Special Instruction for shimming instructions.

This Illustration shows a machine equipped with dual tilt. For single tilt machines, use port (7B) for the head end of the tilt cylinder and (7A) for the rod end of the tilt cylinder.

Remove the shipping covers from the hydraulic ports on the radiator guard. Connect hose assemblies (8D), (9C), (10B), and (10A) to the hydraulic ports on the radiator guard for machines equipped with dual tilt. Connect hose assemblies (7B) and (7A) to the hydraulic ports on the radiator guard for machines equipped with single tilt. Reuse the flanges, washers, and bolts that secured the shipping covers to connect the hose assemblies. Ensure that the radiator guard grille doors can be opened without interfering with the hose couplings. Angle the hose fittings 30° (AA) outward as shown in the Illustration above.Note: It may be necessary to loosen and retighten hose assemblies (10A), (10B), (9C), and (8D) on the back of the blade to remove any hose twist on dual tilt machines. On single tilt machines, hose assemblies (7A) and (7B) may need to be loosened and retightened on the back of the blade to remove any hose twist.Procedure for Shimming
Note: The shimming procedure that is shown is for shimming the push arms. This procedure can also be used for shimming the tag link.

Disassemble and remove all shims (4) from the joint.
Remove excess rust and paint from the contact surfaces of trunnion (1), bearing cap (2), bearing (3), and shims (4).
Install bearing (3) and bearing cap (2) on trunnion (1) without shims (4) using bolts (5) and nuts (6). Use the largest torque from the following list to tighten bolts (5).
5 percent of the specified torque
50 N m (37 lb ft)Maintain equal distance on both space (A) and space (B) of bearing cap (2). Slip fit shims (4) into gaps at (A) and (B) to determine the required number of shims (4).
Remove shims (4) and loosen bolts (5) that are on bearing cap (2). Add one more shim (4) to the stacks of shims for each side. Reinsert shims (4) into
