Machine Security System
This feature is used in order to reduce the chance of a theft of the machine. This feature helps to prevent the machine from being driven by unauthorized users. The feature disables the critical machine functions in order to ensure safety. The engine controller can be used in order to disable the fuel injection. This feature also restricts the use of the machine to certain operators during certain hours of operation.Implement Shutoff Switch
This feature allows the operator to inhibit any movement of the implement by removing the pilot hydraulic supply pressure to the pilot solenoid. The switch is located on the panel that is to the right side of the operator.Boom Control
This feature allows the operator to adjust the angle of the boom. The operator must adjust the joystick to the left or to the right in order to move the boom in or in order to move the boom out.Hook Control
This feature allows the operator to control the up movement and the down movement of the hook. The movement of the hook is controlled by the forward or the rearward movement of the joystick.Hook Speed Control
This feature allows the operator to choose from a high speed option or a low speed option when the hook is moved. The LCD instrument monitor will display an indication of the speed at which the hook will move after the joystick is put into motion. A display of three bars indicates that the hook will move quickly. A display of one bar indicates that the hook will move slowly.Counterweight Extend/Retract Feature
This feature allows the operator to extent or to retract the counterweight of the pipe layer.Dead Engine Lower (Hook) Solenoid
This feature allows the operator to lower the weight from the boom when the engine of the machine is not running. When the engine of the machine is running, the accumulators of the pipelayer store potential energy. This potential energy of the pilot accumulator is supplied to the pilot valve when the engine is not running. The potential energy of the quick drop accumulator is supplied to the quick drop clutch when the function is activated. In order for the operator to lower the hook of the machine, the operator must turn the key of the machine to the ON position. The operator must exit the machine. The operator must go the rear of the machine, locate the control knob of the "quick drop clutch" valve, and manually adjust the knob in order to bypass the solenoid.Note: Quick drop of the hook is activated by a fast movement of the implement lever into the full lower position by using the quick drop button while in the full lower position with the quick drop button depressed, or depressing the button while the joystick is in the full lower position, or manually bypassing the solenoid.Reverse Fan Switch
This feature allows the operator to reverse the hydraulically controlled fan of the machine in order to clear debris from the radiator of the machine.
