d. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.e. Carefully loosen the plugs at the rear of the tilt cylinder. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two plugs. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs.f. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank.g. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released.4. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 88 liters (22.9 U.S. gal). 5. Disconnect two hoses (2) from the supplemental steering pump.6. Remove two nuts (3) and the washers that hold supplemental steering pump (1) in position. Remove supplemental steering pump and gasket from the transfer gear case. The following steps are for the installation of the supplemental steering pump.7. Check the condition of the gasket used between the supplemental steering pump and the transfer gear case. If the gasket is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.8. Install the supplemental steering pump in the reverse order of removal.9. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.10. Separate the steering frame lock link. See the topic "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.Disassemble Supplemental Steering Pump
Start By:a. remove supplemental steering pump1. Thoroughly clean the outside of the pump prior to disassembly.2. Put an alignment mark across the body and flange assembly of the pump so the parts can be reinstalled in their original positions. 3. Remove bolt (1), lock (3) and washer (2) that hold drive gear (4) on the pump.4. Remove drive gear (4) from the pump. 5. Remove eight bolts (6) and flange (5) from the pump body. 6. Remove O-ring seal (7) from flange (5).7. Remove O-ring seals (9) and back-up rings (8) from the support rings in the flange. 8. Remove plug (10) from the flange.9. Remove two lip-type seals (11) and (13) and spacer (12) from the flange. 10. Remove isolation plates (14), sealing strips (16) and retainers (15) from the pump housing. 11. Remove pressure plate (17) from the pump housing. 12. Remove drive gear (18) and idler gear (19) from the pump housing. 13. Remove pressure plate (20) from the pump housing. 14. Remove isolation plates (21), sealing strips (24) and retainers (23) from the pump housing.15. Remove O-ring seals (22) and the back-up rings from the pump housing.Assemble Supplemental Steering Pump
