Do not let the fan assembly hit the radiator core during removal of the V-belts.
1. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to the fan assembly and fan adapter (1) to support it as shown.2. Remove six bolts (2), and carefully lower the fan assembly and fan adapter down and against the radiator core. 3. Loosen bolt (3), and move alternator (5) toward the engine to release the tension on the V-belts. Remove two V-belts (4). 4. Loosen bolt (8), and move air conditioner compressor (6) toward the engine to release the tension on the V-belt. Remove V-belt (7). 5. Loosen two bolts (10), and release the tension on the water pump drive belt. Remove water pump drive belt (9). Install the V-belts in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the tension on the V-belts.
