When replacing the former 29.25 degree exhaust valve with the new 19.25 degree chrome stem exhaust valve, the valve seat must be changed to the 20.25 degree, 6I4014 Valve Seat. The 6I4014 Valve Seat is the standard size insert.
--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------The new 1018314 Chrome Stem Exhaust Valves are now available for G3400 Engines. The new chrome stem exhaust valve increases valve train efficiency and reduces the occurrence of exhaust valve sticking. The chrome stem exhaust valve has effective serial numbers as shown in the following chart.
The new chrome stem exhaust valve has a 19.25 degree face angle. The former exhaust valve has a face angle of 29.25 degrees. The new chrome stem exhaust valve is not interchangeable with the former exhaust valve. When replacing the former 29.25 degree exhaust valve with the new 19.25 degree chrome stem exhaust valve, the valve seat must be changed to the 20.25 degree, 6I4014 Valve Seat. (Note: The 6I4015 to 6I4018 Oversized Outside Diameter Exhaust Valve Seats are available.)
