Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
The engine can start automatically. Ensure that the power supply is isolated before any service or repairs is performed.
If the engine is equipped with an air starting motor. Turn the air supply at the air reservoir to the OFF position. Ensure that the air pressure is drained from the starting air system.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Turn the valve for the sea water circuit to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assembly (3) from auxiliary water pump pressure sensor (2).
Remove bolts (4) from tube assembly (1). Position tube assembly away from the auxiliary water pump.
Disconnect the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) tube assembly from the connection flange (6) on auxiliary water pump (7).

Remove bolt (10) and clamp (9) from auxiliary water pump (7). Remove nuts (13) and clamp (14) from auxiliary water pump (7).
Remove auxiliary water pump (7) from the housing (11).
Remove O-ring seal (8) (not shown).
If necessary, remove auxiliary water pump pressure sensor (2). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pressure Sensor (Auxiliary Water Pump Pressure Sensor) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
If necessary, remove studs (12) from housing (11). Installation Procedure

Ensure that the auxiliary water pump is free from war or damage. Replace any component that is worn or damaged. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Disassembly" and Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Assembly" for the correct procedures.

If necessary, install auxiliary water pump pressure sensor (2). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pressure Sensor (Auxiliary Water Pump Pressure Sensor) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
If necessary, install studs (12). Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of studs (12). Install studs to housing (11) and tighten to a torque of 11 N m (97 lb in).
Lubricate a new O-ring seal (8) with Tooling (A). Install the O-ring seal to auxiliary water pump (7). Ensure that the O-ring
