D348, D349, D379, D398 and D399 Industrial And Marine EnginesDescription of Change: A new cable assembly is used in the mechanical shut-off group for the above engines. The new cable has an O-ring seal inside the nut that fastens the cable assembly to the shut-off control housing. The new cable also uses two set screws to hold the nut and cable together. The former cable had a roll pin to hold the nut and cable together. The use of the O-ring seal and set screws prevents leakage of oil that was possible with the former cable assembly.Adaptable As: The new 5N8184 Cable Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 5N3951 Cable Assembly which is canceled.
