System Operation Description:The following information must be known and recorded for paralleling operations. The information must be obtained at various load points. The information must match the generator readings.

Power
Power factor readingsThe following are what is expected:
Voltages are close to rated values
Reading from the EMCP and other devices match
No voltage exists on the output of the open breaker
Metering at various load points match the power analyzer readings
Metering at the output of breaker matches metering at input of breaker for paralleling
All power readings are positiveIf the expected data is not correct, then the following must be confirmed:
Check the settings in the EMCP
Check for correct wiring.
If negative kW is seen, check for correct CT polarityA non-adjustable and non-programmable shutdown immediately occurs when the generator breaker is closed and there is a generator sensing fault. This shutdown occurs when a phase difference (non-zero) between phase A on the generator and phase A on the bus is detected. An immediate shutdown test also occurs for the other phases.Test Step 1. Arbitration Line Wiring FaultConfirm the status of the arbitration line. Table 1 lists the invalid arbitration line states that are detected prior to arbitration.

Determine if any of the following conditions occurred.
Arbitration relay timer expired
Pre-arbitration and post-arbitration inputs did not maintain state
Close breaker timeout (The breaker tried to close but failed while others were making a request to close.)Expected Result:None of the preceding conditions are true.Results:
OK - None of the preceding conditions are true. Proceed to Test Step 3.
NOT OK - The generator set does not operate normally.Repair: Check that the setpoints are appropriate for the application.STOPTest Step 3. An HWDBA#1 Wire Short DiagnosticIf excess current is required to pull down the "Requesting Line", then an HWDBA code will be generated.Expected Result:Excess current does not exist on the "Requesting Line".Results:
OK - Excess current did not pull the "Requesting Line" down. Proceed to Test Step 4.
Not OK - Repair: Repair the requesting line wiring. Verify that the problem has been corrected.STOPTest Step 4. HWDBA #2 Wire Short DiagnosticIf excess current is required to pull down the "Capturing Line", then an HWDBA #2 code will be generated.Expected Result:Excess current does not exist
