Description of Change: A new top ring is available for the pistons that are used in 3500B High Displacement Engines. The face of the ring has a new coating. The coating will make the top ring less abrasive to the cylinder liner.Adaptable To: In the 160-5910 Piston and Rod Gp, the 151-2778 Piston Ring is cancelled and replaced by the new 229-1632 Piston Ring. The new piston ring is adaptable to all of the above engines. Table 1 lists the serial number effectivity of the new top ring.
