Configuration Parameters
System configuration parameters are parameters that are configured to specify the engine emissions levels, the power rating, and the specific application. Default values for the parameters are programmed at the factory. Some parameters may be changed to equip the engine for a specific application. The system configuration parameters must be reprogrammed if the Electronic Control Module (ECM) is replaced. It is necessary to reprogram the system configuration parameters if you update the ECM flash file. Also, certain configuration parameters are stamped into the engine information plate.Parameter Descriptions
Engine Serial Number
The engine serial number must be programmed to match the engine serial number that is stamped on the engine information plate. The engine serial number is not preprogrammed into a replacement ECM.Equipment ID
This parameter allows the customer to enter a description into the ECM to identify the engine application. A maximum of 17 characters can be entered in the field.Engine Location
Note: The "Number of Synchronized Engines Configuration", "Engine Location", and "Secondary Throttle Enable Status" must be programmedThis parameter can be set to engine one through five.Monitoring Mode Shutdowns
"Monitoring Mode Shutdowns" controls the shutdown feature that is associated with the engine monitoring feature. When this feature is enabled and a shutdown event is detected, the engine will shutdown.Number of Synchronized Engines Configuration
