Engine Compartment (1) Steering pump (2) Charge pump (3) Inlet portSteering pump (1) is located in the engine compartment, on the right side of the machine. The engine drives this gear type pump. The steering pump and charge pump (2) share a common housing. The steering pump is splined to the charge pump. The steering pump and the charge pump also share common inlet port (3). The pumps draw oil from the hydraulic tank through a suction strainer.When the engine is running, steering pump (1) rotates. The steering pump draws oil from the hydraulic tank and directs steering oil to port "P" of the steering manifold.
