start by:a) remove hydraulic pump1. Put identification marks on all pump sections (housings) for assembly purposes. 2. Remove bolts (1) and cover assembly (2) from the hydraulic pump. 3. Remove small cartridge (3) from the pump housing. 4. Remove bolts (4) and plate assembly (5). Make a note of direction of pump rotation (arrows). Put identification marks on cartridge parts with respect to their position. 5. Remove the seals (6) from plate assembly (5). 6. Remove plate (7). 7. Remove ring (8). Note the direction of the arrows on the ring. 8. Remove rotor (9) and vane assembly. 9. Remove plate (10). 10. Remove seals (11) from the end plate. 11. Turn the end plate (12) over and then remove O-ring seal (13) and back-up ring. Make a replacement of the seals if necessary. 12. Remove bolts (14) and pump housing (15). 13. Remove large cartridge (16) from the pump shaft. 14. Remove bolts (18) and then remove plate assembly (17). 15. Remove seals (19) from plate assembly (17). 16. Remove bearing (20) from plate assembly (17). 17. Remove plate (21). 18. Remove ring (22). Make a note of the direction of the arrows on the ring. 19. Remove rotor (23) and vane assembly. 20. Remove plate (24) from end plate. 21. Remove seal assemblies (25) from end plate. 22. Remove seal (26) and back-up ring from the end plate. 23. Remove seals (27) from the shaft housing. 24. Remove spiral lockring (28) from shaft bearing. 25. Remove shaft assembly (29) and washer from the housing. 26. Remove two lip seals (30) and O-ring seal (31) from the housing. 27. Remove snap ring (32) with tool (A). 28. Remove bearing (33) from the shaft with a press.Assemble Hydraulic Pump
All parts must be kept clean and free of damage (scratches, nicks and burrs). Use clean solvent to clean all metal parts of the pump. Put clean hydraulic oil on all parts of the pump at assembly.
1. Heat bearing (1) to a temperature of 275° F (135° C) and then install it on the shaft. 2. Put snap ring (2) in position on the shaft and then install it with tool (A). 3. Install O-ring seal (3) on the housing. Install the lip type seals in the housing with tool group (B). Install the seals in the housing with lips toward the inside. 4. Install washer (5) and shaft assembly (4) in the housing. 5. Install the spiral lockring (6) over the bearing. 6. Install seals (7) in the housing. 7. Install back-up ring (9) and seal (8) on the end plate. 8. Turn the end plate (11) over and install seal assemblies (10). 9. Install pressure plate (12) on the end plate. Make sure the bronze side of the plate is toward the pump rotor. 10. Install vanes (14) and inserts in rotor. The sharp edge of the vanes must be toward the direction of the arrow on the ring.
