Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install switch assembly (12) to the body of air shutoff (11).
Lightly lubricate spindle (8) before installation. Install O-ring seal (9) to spindle (8).
Position spring (7) and retainer (5) on spindle (8).
Position washer (3) and plunger (2) on spindle (8). Compress the shutoff assembly and insert pin (6).
Position the shutoff assembly in the body of air shutoff (11). Apply Tooling (A) to both sides of adapter (4). Install adapter (4).
Lubricate plunger (2) lightly prior to installation of solenoid (1). Install solenoid (1) and tighten the bolts to a torque 12 3 N m (106 27 lb in).
Move indicator (10) to the open position. End By:
Install the air shutoff. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Shutoff - Install".
