Removal Procedure
Note: Install caps and plugs on all openings in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the system. Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal components.Note: For easier assembly, mark all hose assemblies, tube assemblies, wire harnesses and cables for identification purposes.

Remove clamps (1) and (2) from tube assembly (3) .
Remove tube assembly (3) from turbocharger (4) .

Remove bolts (5) that secure hose assembly (6) to turbocharger (4) .
Position hose assembly (6) away from turbocharger (4) .

Remove clamp (7) from tube assembly (8) .
Remove tube assembly (8) from turbocharger (4) .

Remove hose assembly (9) from turbocharger (4) .
Remove bolts (10) and the locknuts that secure turbocharger (4) .
Remove turbocharger (4) and the gasket.Installation Procedure

A     5P-3931     Anti-Seize Compound     1    Note: Verify that all of the components of the turbocharger are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.Note: Check all of the components and all of the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install the new gasket and position turbocharger (4) .
Apply Tooling (A) to bolts (10) and install bolts (10) and the locknuts that secure turbocharger (4). Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 55 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).
Install hose assembly (9) to turbocharger (4) .

Install clamp (7) to tube assembly (8) .

Install bolts (5) that secure hose assembly (6) to turbocharger (4) .

Install clamps (2) and (1) to tube assembly (3) .
