Safety PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR INSPECTINGAND REPAIRING THE EXHAUST SYSTEM ON CERTAIN XQ125, XQ200, XQ225, XQ300AND XQ400 GENERATOR SETS

This Program must be administered assoon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10303" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI10303" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. This Revised Service Letter replacesthe May 18, 2004 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the AfectedProduct.PROBLEM
The exhaust system needs to be inspected and repairedon certain XQ125, XQ200, XQ225, XQ300 and XQ400 Generator Sets. Exhaustleaks may occur around the silencer connection. The hot exhaust gas couldcause damage to the painted surface and the sound foam liner and couldlead to fire.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Warning: Avoid contact with hot surfaces.Exhaust piping and engine components become hot during engine operationand cool slowly after engine shutdown. Any contact with hot surfaces cancause severe burns. Protective leather gloves should be worn when workingon or around equipment.
