PROBLEM
An incorrect 12V A/C Compressor may have been installed on certain 311F LRR Excavators. The 12V A/C Compressor may experience an early-hour short circuit.

ACTION REQUIRED
Confirm the label color of the A/C Compressor. Refer to Image1 for the labels.
- If the A/C Compressor has a silver label with CAT logo, no more action is required.
- If the A/C Compressor has a green label with SANDEN logo, replace the A/C Compressor with a new 398-8004 Compressor Group. Inspect the fuses for the blower fan and for the A/C unit on the fuse base in the cab. If the fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced. Refer to Image2 for the fuse location.
Before replacing the A/C Compressor, confirm that the new A/C Compressor is 24V with a silver label.
