A 138-7573 Link Bracket 2 Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove plate (1). Disconnect harness assembly (2). Remove plate assembly (3).

Disconnect hose assembly (6). Remove flanges (7) and disconnect harness assembly (8).
Remove bolts (5) and valve assembly (4). Remove tubes (9). Note: Note the orientation of the slot on coupling assembly (10).

Remove bolts (11), plate assembly (12), and tubes (13).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to transmission hydraulic control valve (15). The weight of transmission hydraulic control valve (15) is approximately 70 kg (155 lb). Remove bolts (14) and transmission hydraulic control valve (15).
