Attach a suitable lifting device to carrier assembly (118). The weight of carrier assembly (118) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Remove carrier assembly (118).

Invert carrier assembly (118). Remove retaining ring (119) and bearing (120).

Position carrier assembly (118) onto suitable blocks. Remove ring seal (121). Use Tooling (L) to compress retaining ring (122) (not shown). Remove gear (123) and retaining ring (122).

Remove shaft (124), discs (126), and gears (128) from carrier assembly (118). Remove bearings (127) and (129) from gears (128) and (130). Remove pin (125) from shaft (124).
Repeat the previous two steps for the other planetary gears.

Remove sun gear (131) from carrier assembly (132).

Attach a suitable lifting device to carrier assembly (132). The weight of carrier assembly (132) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Remove carrier assembly (132).

Invert carrier assembly (132) and position the carrier assembly on suitable blocking. Use a screwdriver to compress retaining ring (133) into carrier assembly (132). Remove gear (134) and retaining ring (133).
