Assembly Procedure (Lubrication Relief Valve)
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install O-ring seal (45) onto plug (44). Install plug (44) into valve housing (7). Tighten plug (44) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
Install spool (41), spring (42), and plug (43) into valve housing (7). Tighten plug (43) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).Assembly Procedure (Filter Bypass Valve)

Install bypass spool (35) and spring (36) into valve housing (7). Install O-ring seal (37) onto plug (38). Install plug (38) into valve housing (7). Tighten plug (38) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).Assembly Procedure (Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve)
