The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3085" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3085" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
When applicable, this program should be done in conjunction with the December 23, 1997 Service Letter PI3083 and the December 24, 1997 Service Letter PI3084.

The 10 Amp circuit breaker, part number 9D9094, for the engine circuit may derate under certain operating conditions on AP1050B and AP1055B Asphalt Pavers; and on certain Barber-Greene BG-245C and BG-2455C Asphalt Pavers Manufactured by Caterpillar.

Refer to the Illustration for harness routing and circuit breakers.
1. Locate the master switch and turn it to the off position.2. Open the top engine compartment covers and locate the 10 Amp circuit breaker for the engine.3. Remove the 10 Amp circuit breaker for the engine start circuit and replace it with the 6N8589 15 Amp circuit breaker.4. Support the harness away from the support bracket. Owner Notification
