2. Remove tension on the rear three belts (2) by loosening the adjustment nut on the bolt (1) for the belt tightener.3. Remove the three rear belts.4. Remove the spring (3) for the belt tightener.5. Remove the lubrication line (4) for the fan drive.6. Connect a hoist to the fan drive and remove the five nuts that hold the fan drive to the cover.7. Remove the fan and fan drive. Weight of fan and fan drive is 110 lb. (50 kg).Install Fan And Fan Drive
1. Put the fan and fan drive in position and install the five nuts that hold fan drive to cover.2. Install the lubrication line (4) for the fan drive.3. Install the spring (3) for the belt tightener.4. Install the three rear belts (2).5. Tighten adjustment nut on bolt (1) for the belt tightener.6. Install the front two belts that operate the alternator.end by: a) install radiator and aftercooler cores and guardsDisassemble Fan And Fan Drive
start by: a) remove fan and fan drive1. Remove the fan (2) from the fan drive by removing eight bolts (1) (six bolts on 623) that hold fan to pulley. Weight of fan is 50 lb. (23 kg).2. Remove the three bolts (3) that hold the cover to the pulley.3. Remove the cover (4). Remove two bolts (5), lock, and washer.4. Remove pulley (6) from the shaft with tooling (A).5. Remove spacer from the shaft.6. Remove seal, two bearings, and two spacers from the pulley.Assemble Fan And Fan Drive
1. Install bearing (4) in the pulley (3). Install spacer (2) with tapered end toward bearing. Install spacer (6) and bearing (1) in the pulley.2. Install seal (5) with tooling (A). Install seal with lip of seal away from bearing. Put lubricant on lip of seal.3. Install spacer (7) on shaft with tapered end toward pulley.4. Install pulley on shaft with washer, lock, and two bolts (8).5. Install cover (9) on pulley with three bolts.6. Install fan on fan drive with eight bolts (six bolts on 623).end by: a) install fan and fan drive
