ACTION REQUIRED
1. Remove the ATAAC from the radiator assembly.
2. Remove the defective weld from the effected area.
3. Prep the weld joint appropriately before welding to achieve a good weld joint and to avoid contamination.
4. Position the core with ATAAC tubes facing up to assure the direction of weld in the ATAAC.
5. Weld the seam using 100 percent GMAW and 4047 aluminum weld wire.
6. Inspect the weld for any blow through or weld berries by viewing through the ATAAC outlet tube that is opposite of the weld joint.
7. If blow through or weld berries are present on internal surface of tank, remove them from the tank surface.
8. Pressure decay test at 30 psi for 30 seconds, pressure should not drop more than four psi in 30 seconds, to assure crack has been thoroughly repaired.
9. Once the ATAAC has passed the pressure decay test, install the ATAAC on the radiator assembly.
