Install 361-6015 Handle Control Gp (9) onto 283-8172 Bracket As (10) using four 9X-2045 Screws (11).
Connect pigtail from 361-6015 Handle Control Gp (9) into 392-7215 Electrohydraulic Wiring Gp (12) and secure with one 7K-1181 Cable Strap (14) where shown in Illustration 36.

Install 290-1265 Cover (1) onto 283-8172 Bracket As (10) using three 9X-2045 Screws (11). Note: Be care full not to trap the switch pigtails under the 290-1265 Cover (1).

Reconnect all switches back into 392-7215 Electrohydraulic Wiring Gp (12) where the switch pigtails where marked earlier.
Secure wiring connections using 7K-1181 Cable Straps (14).

Reinstall the armrest assembly using 253-8798 Knob (A) and 7X-0678 Hard Washer (B). Software Configuration and Calibration of the Control Lever and Valve
Note: This feature is a configurable feature that must be activated with PSPS or a service tool.Note: The implement for the third function must be available so that this installation procedure may be completed. This procedure is necessary so that final calibration of the control lever and valve may be completed.
Use a Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) and select the proper Electronic Control Module.
Select "SERVICE" from the menu.
Select "CONFIGURATION" from the menu.
Double click on the desired feature on the configuration screen.
Select the desired status of the feature and click "OK". Note: This feature will be activated on the next power cycleChecking for Third Valve Function

Implement pump pressure tap location
(1) Pressure tap
Connect the appropriate range pressure gauge to the pressure tap (1) to measure implement pump discharge pressure. Refer to the test and adjust procedure for more information on the implement pump tap location for your specific machine.
Warm the machine hydraulic oil to 62° 8°C (144° 14 °F)
With the transmission in neutral and the engine in high idle, slowly place the third function lever (or roller if the machine is equipped with a joystick) in the fully forward position. The pressure in the third valve function line should be 23600 600 kPa (3423 87 psi).
