Start By:
Remove the oscillating axle.

Remove bolts (2) and cover (3) from trunnion support (1).

Remove thrust washer (4), bolts (5), and plate (6) from the end of the trunnion. Remove thrust washer (4) that is behind plate (6).

Attach a suitable lifting device to trunnion support (1). The weight of trunnion support (1) is approximately 47 kg (104 lb). Remove trunnion support (1) from the trunnion.

Remove lip seal (7) and sleeve bearing (8) from trunnion support (1).

Use two people to remove trunnion (10). The weight of trunnion (10) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb). Remove bolts (9) and trunnion (10).Installation Procedure

Apply Tooling (B) on the mating surface between trunnion (10) and the axle housing.
Use two people to install trunnion (10). The weight of trunnion (10) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb).
Install trunnion (10) and bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 300 40 N m (220 30 lb ft).

Use a suitable press and Tooling (A) to install sleeve bearing (8) in trunnion support (1). Install sleeve bearing (8).

Use Tooling (A) to install lip seal (7) in trunnion support (1). Install lip seal (7).

Install thrust washer (4), plate (6), thrust washer (4), and bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 570 80 N m (420 60 lb ft).

Install cover (3) and bolts (2) on trunnion support (1). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 300 40 N m (220 30 lb ft).End By:
