If an Off-Highway Truck in the Affected Product is not equipped with a serial number of a Reman C175-16 and C175-20 Engine that is listed below, then mark the program complete in SIMS/CLAIMS with a note that a Reman engine is not installed.
If an Off-Highway Truck in the Affected Product is equipped with a serial number of a Reman C175-16 and C175-20 Engine that is listed below, then tighten the nuts on all 332-8542 Tees to 65+/-10 Nm. Image 1 shows the location of the nuts that require torquing (circled in red).

The engine needs to be inspected on the products listed below. The existing tees in turbo oil supply lines on certain Reman C175-16 and C175-20 Engines can be loose which could result in an oil leak in the vicinity of the turbine housing which may, in conjunction with other factors or circumstances, result in a risk of personal injury or death. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 09Mar2017 when scheduling this service.
