Lubricate bridges (4) and the pockets with clean engine oil. Install bridges (4) on the cylinder head. Position the round pocket toward the outside of the engine. Lubricate pushrods (3) with clean engine oil. Install pushrods (3). Seat pushrods (3) in the lifter cups. Note: Ensure that the pushrods are seated in the bores. Use a flashlight in order to ensure that the pushrods are in the lifter cups.

Position rocker shaft assembly (2) in the dowel holes. Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 200 30 N m (147 22 lb ft).
Adjust the valve lash. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust". End By:
Install the valve cover.
