Connect the steering frame lock.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1). Disconnect harness clip (2) from the cab.

Disconnect harness assemblies (3). Disconnect harness clip (4) from the cab.

Disconnect harness assemblies (5) and harness assembly (6). Cut the cable strap and disconnect cable assembly (7). Disconnect harness clips (8) from the cab.

Disconnect ground straps (9) from the cab.

Remove nuts (10) in order to lower brake valve (11).

Disconnect hose assemblies (12).

Close valve (14). Disconnect hoses (15).

Typical Example
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cab (17). The weight of cab (17) is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb).
Remove bolts (18). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove cab (17). Installation Procedure
Install cab (17) in the reverse order of removal.
