Switch Installation

Remove the cover panel for the start switch.

Determine the position of the switch (40) on the console. Drill a 12 mm (0.472 inch) hole in the console. Drill a 3 mm (0.118 inch) hole for the second hole. Install the switch (40) and the plate (10) into the console.Installation of the Wire Harness
Lay out the wiring harnesses, 173-3714 Wiring Harness (Long) (12) and 173-3713 Wiring Harness (Short) (11) .

(40) 7N-2353 Toggle Switch
Connect the short wiring harness (11) to the toggle switch. Connect the green wire to the terminal that is identified by the number 3. Connect the yellow wire to the terminal that is identified by the number 2.

Connect the yellow wire from the toggle switch to the relay terminal of the start switch.

Connect the long harness (12) to the valve group (14). Route the long harness through the engine compartment along the frame. Secure the harness with cable straps.
There is a black ground wire on the long harness. Connect the black wire to a suitable ground.

Route the long harness through the floor of the cab. Secure the harness with cable straps.
Connect the black wire of the short harness to the black wire of the long harness.
Connect the green wire of the short harness to the green wire of the long harness.
Install the covers that were removed.Program the Machine
When you are installing a work tool on an excavator for the first time, properly set up the electronic portion of the electrohydraulic system, and properly set up the hydraulics.The coupler will not function correctly unless the machine is programmed. After the electrical system and the hydraulic system are connected, check the system for proper operation. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7309 for more information.Note: The pressure setting for relief valve (CC) is 17200 kPa (2500 psi). Refer to illustration 33.
In order to purge the air from the hydraulic lines, use the following steps:
Place a suitable container beneath the coupler.
Loosen the hydraulic fittings at the cylinder.
Start the engine of the host machine.
Move the switch for the coupler to the LOCK position. Hold the switch in the LOCK position until all of the air is purged from the hydraulic line. Move the switch to the CENTER position.
Move the switch to the UNLOCK position. Hold the switch in the UNLOCK position until all of the air has been purged from the hydraulic line. Move the switch to the CENTER position.
Tighten all of the fittings.Note: Dispose of the oil in a proper
