Change Coolant.
Allow the radiator to cool before attempting to check or change the radiator coolant. Attempting maintenance on a hot radiator could cause severe burns. At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.Steam can cause personal injury.Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
1. Open the drain petcock at the bottom of the radiator and allow fluid to drain.2. After the fluid has drained, close the drain petcock. 3. Open the fill cap at the top of the radiator and add a mixture of 50% water and 50% anti-freeze until the coolant level is approximately 15 mm (.62 in) below the fill tube.4. Replace the fill cap.Fuel Tank
Drain
The fuel tank contains combustible materials or explosive atmospheres; never light matches, smoke, create sparks, or use open flames. Personal injury or death may result from explosion or fire.
Take extreme care to insure the cleanliness of diesel fuel. Keep fuel clean to extend component life and assure maximum performance.
1. Remove drain plug (1) from bottom of fuel tank.2. After fuel has drained, install drain plug (1).3. Fill fuel tank with diesel fuel. Fill tank to 25 mm (1 in) below tank filler neck (2).Hydraulic Tank
Change Oil
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and may be under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped and the cap is cool enough to turn with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.
1. Remove drain plug (1) from bottom of hydraulic oil tank.2. After oil has drained, install drain plug (1).3. Fill hydraulic tank with hydraulic oil. Fill tank until oil level is approximately 76 mm (3 in) below the bottom of the filler neck (2).Double Pump Drive Assembly
Change Gear Lube
1. Remove drain plug (1), located in the bottom left side of the double pump drive box.2. After the gear lube has drained, install drain plug (1).3. Open petcock (2) on the lower left side of the double pump drive box.4. Gear lube should be level with petcock (2). If low, remove fill plug (3) on the top, left side of the double pump drive box and add gear lube until gear lube appears at petcock (2).5. Tighten petcock (2) and install fill plug (3).
