8. Remove port plate (31) from the cylinder barrel. 9. Remove cylinder barrel (32), the swashplate and shaft as a unit from housing (21). 10. Remove support (33) from housing (21).11. Remove bearing cup (34) from support (33). Remove the dowel from the opposite side of support (33). 12. Remove snap ring (35) and lip-type seal (36) from housing (21).
Do not damage the bronze, lapped face of cylinder barrel (32). Do not damage the nine pistons inside the cylinder barrel.
13. Position shaft (39), swashplate (38) and cylinder barrel (32) as a unit in a soft-jawed vise as shown.14. Using tooling (B), pull against cylinder barrel (32), and remove bearing cone (37) from shaft (39). 15. Remove spacer (40) from shaft (39) and cylinder barrel (32). 16. Remove shaft (39) from cylinder barrel (32) and swashplate (38). 17. Remove bearing cone (41) and bearing race (42) from shaft (39). 18. Remove swashplate (38) from cylinder barrel (32) and the pistons. 19. Remove actuator pistons (43) and (44) and actuator rod (45) from swashplate (38). Remove the rings from actuator pistons (43) and (44). 20. Remove retraction plate (48) and nine pistons (46) from cylinder barrel (32) and coupling (47). Remove nine pistons (46) from retraction plate (48). 21. Remove coupling (47) and pins (49) from cylinder barrel (32). 22. Use a press and tooling (C) to compress spring (52), and remove snap ring (50).23. Release the tension on the spring, and remove spacer (51), spring (52) and spacer (53) from cylinder barrel (32).Assemble Swing Pump (Later)
1. Position spacer (53), spring (52) and spacer (51) in cylinder barrel (32).2. Use a press and tooling (C) to compress spring (52), and install snap ring (50). 3. Using a thick grease to hold the pins in place, install pins (49) in the large spline openings of cylinder barrel (32).4. Position coupling (47) on pins (49) and cylinder barrel (32). 5. Install nine pistons (46) in retractor plate (48).6. Lubricate nine pistons (46) and cylinder barrel (32) with clean oil. Position the pistons in the barrel bores, and lower into position until retractor plate (48) rests on coupling (47). 7. Install the rings on actuator pistons (43) and (44).8. Apply 9S3265 Retaining Compound of the threads of actuator pistons (43) and (44) and actuator rod (45), and install them on swashplate (38). 9. Lubricate the pistons and swashplate (38) with clean oil. Position swashplate (38) on the pistons and cylinder barrel (32). 10. Heat bearing cone (41) to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F), and install it on shaft (39).11. Apply 9S3265 Retaining Compound on the inside diameter of bearing race (42), and install the bearing race on shaft (39). 12. Position shaft (39) in cylinder barrel (32) and swashplate (38). 13. Position shaft (39), the swashplate and cylinder barrel (32) as a unit in a soft-jawed vise as shown.14. Install spacer (40) on shaft (39) and cylinder barrel (32). 15. Heat bearing cone (37) to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install
