994 (9YF) Wheel loadersCaterpillar Common Services V1.3 Page Setup program allows the user to define the layout for each report produced by Caterpillar software applications. The user can specify the font and character size for titles, headings and report details. The Page Setup program is accessed by double clicking on the Page Setup icon in the Common Services group box. The Page Setup window contains three sections:
1. Printer drop down list box - list of available printers to choose from.2. System drop down list box - list of available applications to choose from. 3. Reports drop down list box - list of available reports that can be modified The following problems may occur when using Caterpillar Common Services V1.3:
1. After installing a new printer the Caterpillar Common Services V1.3 Page Setup Reports drop down list box may not display any reports to choose, when selecting from available programs in the System drop-down list box. All reports will still print, but only with default fonts and character sizes.If the Caterpillar Common Services Page Setup program does not display reports after installing a new printer and it is desired to change the fonts and character sizes, it is necessary to reinstall all affected software applications including Caterpillar Common Services V1.3.
2. When using Information System Builder (ISB) the following error message may occur if the default font setting in The CSS Page Setup menu is not supported by the PC's default printer: CSS Font Format Not Valid CSS Default Font Not SupportedIf this occurs, the ISB reports default font selected will need to be changed to a font supported by the printer.
To change the default font selected for ISB in the CSS Page Setup menu:
1. Open the CSS Page Setup menu by double clicking on the CSS Page Setup icon in the common services group.2. Select Information System Builder from the system drop down list box. This will display reports available in the Reports drop down list box.3. Double click on the default report, listed in the Reports drop down list box, or select Page Setup from the edit menu. 4. Select a font supported by the printer, for the report title from the report title drop down box.5. Repeat Step 4 to specify the font style for the Group Heading, Column Heading and Report Detail.6.
