Typical Example1. Put identification marks on wires (3) for assembly purpose.2. Disconnect wires (3) from the filter group.3. Remove the bolt and clip (1). Move the wires off to the side.4. Remove two bolts and two spacers, and move bracket (2) out of the way.
Typical Example5. Remove the bolts and oil filter group (4). The following steps are for the installation of the transmission and torque converter oil filter groups.6. Put oil filter group (4) in position. Make sure the O-ring seals are in place. Install the bolts that hold the group in place.7. Put the two spacers in position, and install bracket (2) and the two bolts.8. Put clip (1) in position, and install the bolt.9. Start By:a. remove transmission and torque converter oil filter groups 1. Remove three O-ring seals (1) from the filter group. 2. Remove housing assembly (5), element assembly (2) and O-ring seal (4) from base (3).
Snap ring (6) and retainer (8) hold the spring under compression.
3. Use tooling (A) to remove snap ring (6), retainer (8) and the spring from bolt (7). 4. Remove switch (10), O-ring seal (12), spool (9) and spring (11) from base (3). 5. Use tooling (B) to remove snap ring (14) from switch (10).6. Remove pin assembly (15) and spring (13) from the switch.7. Remove O-ring seal (12) if it has not already been removed.
