Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the upper fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install".

Use a downward force on belt tensioner (1) in order to release the tension on belt (2) and remove belt (2). Note: The belt is removed from the engine by passing between the damper assembly and the lower fan guard, and by passing over the fan. Installation Procedure
Inspect the belt. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for the proper procedure. Replace the belt, if necessary.

Position belt (2). Use a downward force on belt tensioner (1) and install belt (2). Note: The belt is installed on the engine by passing over the fan, and by passing between the damper assembly and the lower fan guard. End By: Install the upper fan guard.
