Washer Nozzle Adjustment
Note: Verify that the washer nozzles do not interfere with the radar or camera. Nozzles that are within the radar coverage will cause a false target reading. Nozzles that are within the camera coverage will create blind spots.Adjustments to the washer nozzles are required to insure proper cleaning of the radar sensor lens and cameras. The bracket assemblies are adjustable for this reason.

Start with the front washers. Press the activation switch, observe the spray pattern, and adjust if required to achieve the proper spray pattern shown in Illustration 46 and Illustration 47.
Illustration 48 g02646770
Adjust the washer nozzle for the front camera. Make sure when setting the camera nozzle, that the nozzle is not in the camera view, check on the display to make sure that the nozzle is not visible. Refer to Illustration 48.
Continue to adjust the radar and camera washer nozzles at the remaining zones.Troubleshooting
Loss of Pressure at the Washer Nozzles
The most often problem that will be encountered is the loss of pressure to the selected nozzles. The system has two 379-4982 Filters between the tank and the pumps and should be replaced if the nozzle pressure drops to a level, they cannot clean the lens. The adjustment to the timer may be required on occasion when the mud on the lens is severe. The timer can be increased up to 100 seconds, but most likely only a small increase will be needed.Washer System Fails to Turn On
If the system does not work at all, check the circuit breaker first, then check the voltage at common terminal of the relay, this should be 24VDC. While measuring the voltage on pin 6 of the relay, press the activation switch, the voltage should be 24VDC. After pressing the activation switch, measure the voltage on the normally open terminal of the relay, this should be 24VDC for the time the relay has been set to.If the pumps fail to come on, check the voltage at the pumps, when the activation switch is pressed the voltage at the pumps should be 24VDC. If the voltage at the pumps is not present, check the wiring between the relay and the selector switch in the cab. The common side of the switch should be 24VDC, when the activation switch is pressed and the output of the selector switch for the zone being cleaned should have 24VDC. Check for proper voltage at the appropriate solenoid valve for the zone selected, if voltage is present, replace the solenoid valve for that zone. Continue and check the remaining solenoids, replace the ones that do not activate properly. Make sure that all grounds are connected.Schematics
