Transmission Shifting
Braking
SteeringMain drive shaft transfers power to the planetary power shift transmission. The power output from transmission turns transfer and bevel gears. Transfer and bevel gears turn the inner axle shaft. The inner axle shaft sends power to steering differential and to planetary gears. Steering differential works with planetary gears in order to send power through the two outer axle shafts to final drives. Final drives use two planetary gear arrangements for double speed reduction. The sprockets on the final drives transfer mechanical power to tracks that move the machine. Brakes are a part of planetary gears and steering differential. The brakes are applied by springs and the brakes are released by hydraulic pressure.
