Conditions Which Generate This Code:The 09 diagnostic code indicates the Status Control Module (SCM) is displaying a false high engine oil pressure.Test Step 1. Check the Engine Oil Pressure Sensor
Record the engine oil pressure that is displayed on the SCM.
Disconnect the harness from the engine oil pressure sensor.
Record the engine oil pressure that is displayed on the SCM.Expected Result:The first recorded pressure is above 0 kPa (0 psi) but below 965 kPa (140 psi).The second recorded pressure is above 0 kPa (0 psi) but below 965 kPa (140 psi).Results:
OK - The first recorded pressure and the second recorded pressure are above 0 kPa (0 psi) but below 965 kPa (140 psi).Repair: There is a problem with the module for the pressure and temperature.Replace the module for the pressure and temperature.Verify that the repair eliminates the problem.STOP
Not OK - The first recorded pressure and the second recorded pressure are above 965 kPa (140 psi).Repair: There is a problem with the harness between the oil pressure sensor and the module for the pressure and temperature.If necessary, repair the connectors or wiring and/or replace the connectors or wiring.Verify that the repair eliminates the problem.STOP
