Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Remove".

Remove directional valve (1) and speed control valve (2) from valve body (3). Remove 24 bolts (4) and remove cover (5) from valve body (3) .

Separate valve body (3) from manifold valve (6) and center plate (7) .

Remove three bolts (8), cover (9) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) .

Remove piston (10), spacers (11), spring (12), spring (13) and valve spool (14) from valve body (3) .

Remove spring (15) and valve spool (16) from valve body (3) .

Remove ring (17), retainer (18), spring (19) and spring (20) from valve spool (16) .

Remove slug (21) from valve spool (14) .

Use Tooling (A) and remove ring (22) from valve spool (14). Remove retainer (23), spring (24) and ball (25) from valve spool (14) .

Remove dowels (26) and (27) from valve body (3). Remove valve spool (28), slug (29), spring (30) and stop (31) from valve body (3) .

Remove screen (32) from valve body (3) .

Remove two bolts (33), cover (34) and the O-ring seal from manifold valve (6) .
