Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.Note: Prior to assembly, all threads that require sealant must be cleaned with a tap.Note: O-ring seals, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring seal. Use Tooling (C) during the installation procedure.Note: Lubricate all components with the oil that is being sealed before assembly.
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to position torque converter housing (14) on Tooling (A) with the torque converter housing downward. The weight of torque converter housing (14) is approximately 243 kg (535 lb).

Install O-ring seals (17) onto torque converter housing (14). Apply Tooling (C) to the torque converter housing in order to secure the O-ring seals in position.

Install O-ring seals (16) onto tube (15).

Install tube (15). Note: This step is performed simultaneously with the next step.

Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to lower planetary transmission housing (12) onto torque converter housing (14). The weight of planetary transmission housing (12) is approximately 386 kg (850 lb). Install bolts (13). Tighten bolts (13) to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).

Install O-ring seal (11) on tube assembly (10).

Carefully install tube assembly (10) into the torque converter housing. Note: The tube assembly is installed through the opening in the planetary transmission housing.
Install bolt (9). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Position the gasket and plate (8) on the planetary transmission housing. Align the holes that are in plate (8) with the holes that are in the planetary transmission housing.
Install the bolts in order to secure the gasket and the access plate in position. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 45 N m (33 lb ft).

Use two people in order to install pump (6) and The O-ring seal. The weight of pump (6) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Install bolts (5). Use two people in order to install pump (4) and The O-ring seal. The weight of pump (4) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Install bolts (3). Install hose assembly (2). Install hose assembly (1). Note: Hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (2) are only installed on machines that are equipped with two piston pumps.End By:
