Position the machine until drain plug (1) is at the lowest point.
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove the top bolt (4). Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto cover (2). The weight of cover (2) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Remove the remaining bolts (4) and cover (2).

Use Tooling (B) to reposition axle shaft (3). Reposition axle shaft (3).

Attach a suitable lifting device to axle shaft (3). Remove axle shaft (3). The weight of the right axle shaft is approximately 37 kg (80 lb). The weight of the left axle shaft is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).Installation Procedure
Install axle shaft (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
