 Discrete Inputs
Do the following test. This will verify the function of the discrete inputs. Do these tests when the engine is not running.
Close the "Open to Run" contact. Verify that the LED is illuminated at terminal 36 on the control. If the LED is not illuminated and the correct voltage is verified, the control has failed and the control should be replaced. Select item "H - Close to Stop" on the "Display I/O" menu. The status should be in the "TRUE" state. Open and close the contact, if the value does not change from the "TRUE" state to the "FALSE" state. If this occurs, the control has failed and the control should be replaced.
Repeat step 1 for all the discrete inputs. Verify that the terminal has the proper voltage. Verify that the proper LED is illuminated. Verify that the correct status appears in the "Display I/O" menu.Lube Oil Pressure Input
The following tests verify the function of the "Lube Oil Pressure Input". This is Signal Input 1.
Connect a power source of 4 to 20 mA or 1 to 5 VDC to terminals "42+" and "43-". For a 4 to 20 mA source, connect a jumper wire across the terminals 41 and 42. For 1 to 5 VDC, connect a voltmeter across terminals "42+" and "43-". An ammeter may be installed in series with the 4 to 20 mA power source, but this is optional.
Set the source for 5.0 VDC or 20 mA on the meter. Select "Display Analog I/O" on the programmer, Control View, or Watch Window. Select "AI1- Lube Oil Pr" (mA). The value should equal the input that is based on 20 mA or 5.0 VDC on the display.
Set the source for 1.0 VDC or 4.0 mA. The value of the display should equal the input that is based on 4.0 mA or 1.0 VDC on the display.If the voltages are incorrect on the following
