(1) Parking brake accumulator (2) Service brake accumulatorsThe brake charging pump supplies the parking brake accumulator (1) and the service brake accumulator (2). The accumulators supply the required oil flow in order to engage the front and rear service brakes and the accumulator supplies oil in order to disengage the rear parking brakes. The service brakes are applied by oil pressure and released by springs. The parking brake system is applied by springs and released oil pressure. The brake accumulators are located behind the cab on the right side of the machine.The pressure in the accumulators is monitored by a sensor in the accumulator charging valve. The pressure in the accumulators is electrohydraulically controlled.The braking system uses a check valve between the parking brake accumulator and the service brake accumulators. The check valve isolates the parking brake accumulator in the event of a failure in the service brake system.
