To find the gap thickness, move the cylinder rod to the side until it makes contact with the link, and/or move the link to the side until it makes contact with the lever.4. Measure the total gap and divide the measurement in half.5. Find the correct linkage pin diameter in the chart, and use the washer in that group that is nearest in outside diameter size and thickness to your respective measurements.6. Put one washer on either side of the cylinder rod and/or link. This will fill the total gap and, at the same time, keep the cylinder rod stroke on center. When lubricant is added at the linkage pin connection, add lubricant until the flow comes out of the connection. This method of lubrication makes sure enough lubricant is used at the pin connection and on the washer face, and as a result, decreases possible wear.
