Remove the old vent line and fittings, and install the new fittings and lines.
The 419-9146 Hose Assembly will need to be made using the Hydraulic Information System (HIS).
Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Start by draining the engine cooling system down below the thermostat housing into buckets for later use.
Removing the old lines
1.) Remove the old NRS cooler vent line and turbocharger coolant 360-7331 Drain Line.
2.) Remove the fittings installed in the thermostat housing.
Installing the new lines
1.) Install the 360-3677 Plug and 6V-9027 O-ring in the original hole in the thermostat housing.
2.) Install the fittings in the thermostat housing as shown in Image1.2.1.
Note: The 353-5113 Tee Adapter should be pointed toward the NRS cooler vent line.

3.) Install the 419-9143 Mounting Bracket to the cylinder head behind the NRS bellows using the stud already located in the head and the 6V-5839 Nut and 2Y-5829 Washer.
4.) Install the tee adapter into the mounting bracket as shown.

5.) Install the 6V-9200 Elbow fitting, 6D-7128 O-rings and 6V-9027 O-rings into the NRS cooler with the fitting pointed at the mounting bracket previously installed.
6.) Install the NRS cooler 419-9144 Vent Line, turbocharger coolant 419-9145 Line.
7.) Build hose assembly 419-9146 using the Hydraulic Information System (HIS).
8.) Install the 419-9146 hose from the thermostat housing to the manifold as shown.

Venting the cooling system
Note: It is critical to properly vent the engine cooling system after it has been drained and refilled. Failure to do so can cause severe engine damage and/or damage to the NRS cooler.
1.) Remove the radiator cap.
2.) Refill the cooling system with previously drained engine coolant.
3.) Start the engine. Run the engine until the water temperature regulator opens and the coolant level stabilizes.
Note: Radiator cap is not installed while running the engine.
4.) Install the radiator cap.
