The Integrated Temperature Sensing Module (ITSM) detects a short circuit to the +Battery side for the input from the thermocouple of the turbocharger.System Response:Monitoring of the temperature for the port of the turbine is lost. Also, protection for the port is lost. The code is logged. The "Status" screen of the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) displays "Open/Shorted High" for the port of the turbine.This diagnostic code remains active until the condition that caused the problem is not present for 30 seconds.Possible Performance Effect:Engine operation is not affected.Troubleshooting:Test Step 1.
