2 1 7W-3816 Fluid Control Valve Group Before using the fluid control valve, use the following procedure to set the valve:
1. Loose the jam nut and valve nut.
2. Tighten the valve nut to 3 N m (27 lb in) and scribe a mark locating the corner of the valve nut.
3. Back off the nut to an angle of 30 degrees to allow 0.22 0.08 mm (0.009 0.003 inch) axial movement of the shaft.
4. While holding the valve nut with wrench, tighten the jam nut to 45 7 N m (33 5 lb ft).
5. Rotate the valve. The valve should move freely with no binding. Readjust the valve if necessary.
3 3 0T-0573 Bolt Torque to 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).
4 1 2W-1969 Bypass Valve The bypass valve must move freely in the bore.
Start to open pressure is 287 7 kPa (42 1 psi).
Fully open pressure is 480 7 kPa (70 1 psi).
5 1 2W-1635 Spring Length under test force is 102.0 mm (4.02 inch).
Test force is 518 26 N (116 6 lb).
Free length after test is 143.4 mm (5.65 inch).
6 1 4W-0290 Toggle Valve Assembly Tighten the packing nut to 22 2 N m (195 18 lb in).
